Albany Energy has fully accredited Air Conditioning Energy Assessors that are accredited with the Charted Institute of Building Services Engineers (CIBSE) and Quidos. These assessors are professional engineers and have over 40 years experience within the Air Conditioning and Building Services Industry.
Our engineers are experienced in all aspects of energy inspections ranging from small sites with one/two single split systems up to multi-storey office/commercial/industrial sites with >3000kW chiller systems and cooling towers such as the prestigious Lloyds of London Building adjacent the Gherkin, which was undertaken by Steven K Smith.

Steve has been in the Air Conditioning and building services industry for over 17 years and is proudly affiliated with the Charted Institute of Building Services Engineers (CIBSE) as an Associate member and as an approved CIBSE Level 3 and Level 4 Assessor. Steve is also an Incorporated Engineer of the Engineering Council (UK).
His extensive experience in the Air Conditioning and Building Services Industry has included over eight years as a Building Services Consultant at a Nationwide Consultancy Partnership based in the Nottingham area, where he undertook a highly commendable role and was responsible for feasibility planning, design, estimating and management of full building service schemes from inception to completion; often with values of up to several million pounds. Prior to this Steve was a design and build engineer for a large Air Conditioning, Mechanical & Electrical Service Engineering Contractor where he was responsible for design, estimation and contract management of projects from feasibility to handover for over four years. Other successful roles have included four years with an Air Conditioning and Mechanical services contracting company as a design and estimating engineers for over two years and as a contracts manager for over two years

Tony Kirby ACEA
A well known and highly regarded figure in the air conditioning industry Tony has twenty four years experience within air conditioning.
A career started in the 1980’s at air conditioning distributor Indoor Climate Control Tony has seen many changes in both technology and legislation.
The opportunity of working over many years and with some vastly experienced people has given Tony a thorough understanding of air conditioning systems and their workings. His job roles have been varied from identifying system breakdowns and supplying spare parts as a warranty officer to assisting building services consultants with design and specification of multi million pound projects whilst working for the world’s largest air conditioning manufacturer.
Tony can offer a wealth of knowledge and experience to Albany Energy Ltd clients and as an accredited Air Conditioning Energy Assessor he would be delighted to do so.
